Birthday Book Program
The Library's Birthday Book program is a wonderful way for parents to honour a child's birthday, while at the same time enhancing and supplementing the literary collection in the Shawnigan Library. Monetary donations received through this program are used to purchase books, magazine subscriptions, new technology and other much needed resources.
By making a donation to the Library, you will be instrumental in helping to provide a strong collection and current resources for the benefit of the School community. With student input, we pride ourselves in selecting books that will be used frequently and will meet the needs of our varied student population. The resources purchased give many hours of enjoyment to students and encourage the life-long love of reading.
A bookplate bearing your child's name and birth date will be placed inside the book purchased through your donation.
We acknowledge with respect the Coast Salish Peoples on whose traditional lands and waterways we live, learn and play. We are grateful for the opportunity to share in this beautiful region, and we aspire to healthy and respectful relationships with those who have lived on and cared for these lands for millennia.
