SHAW SCHOLARSHIPS
In the spring of 2006, the Headmaster was approached by Jim Shaw '77. Mr. Shaw and his family had already contributed generously to the School in the building of the Shaw Centre for Science, but Mr. Shaw now desired to make an impact on students directly. His wish was to enable talented young people to experience the privilege of a Shawnigan education, while adding to the experience of all Shawnigan students by bringing their own special talents to our campus.
Mr. Shaw also introduced an innovative concept in his gift, further ensuring its lasting effect on the School and its recipients. Holders of the Shaw Scholarships are asked to make a commitment to give back to Shawnigan in the future at whatever level they can.
