Our day started with some testing to assess reading and writing, before turning our attention to some more experiential ways to practice our English language, with the younger students learning how to construct a tent and the older students learning what key supplies to pack for a camping trip.
From these practical skills, the group then transitioned into some creative time, creating art in the art studios and learning a dance in the dance studio with Mrs. McLeod. Meanwhile, students in Mr. Fehr’s science class launched water balloon catapults.
After class there was time for a game of kickball, followed by the opportunity to cool off on the biggest waterslide yet!
We acknowledge with respect the Coast Salish Peoples on whose traditional lands and waterways we live, learn and play. We are grateful for the opportunity to share in this beautiful region, and we aspire to healthy and respectful relationships with those who have lived on and cared for these lands for millennia.
