Inter-house Track and Field

Forging new ties
The Shawnigan fields were ablaze with colour on Saturday afternoon as the student body took part in the annual Inter-house Track and Field competition. For new students, this is an important day for forming new friendships and instilling House loyalties. Every House did an incredible job of cheering throughout – as always, the School and House spirit were the real star of the show! The running commentary by Mr McLeod and Mr Lamont, along with interviews from the field, made the event entertaining as well as athletic.

Many thanks to the parents who came out to support us at the event. Parents lined the viewing area and provided so much extra support as well as refreshments for the students.

Congratulations to Renfrew House for winning the girls’ competition, and Ripley’s House for taking the boys’ side. The next Inter-house event is outdoor volleyball this Friday, September 13.
