Samuel House Groundbreaking Ceremony
In early June 2022, Shawnigan Lake School was delighted to welcome the School’s Board of Governors, guests, and the Grade 8 class to a special groundbreaking ceremony at the site of Samuel House, our future co-educational Grade 8 House – with (L-R) Jeannie Friesen and Garth Friesen ’87, supporters of the project; Head of School Larry Lamont; Gaynor and Rhodri Samuel, after whom the new House will be named; Kelly Gave, current parent and Board member and Chair of the Advancement Committee; and (on each end) current Grade 8 students Foxton T. and Aven T.
The ceremony represents the next step in this exciting project, which will bring together Stanton and Levien, our current Grade 8 Houses, in a new and pioneering way.
