Senior Boys top field in Ladysmith

Thanks to an undefeated regular season, the senior boys earned a bye directly into Friday’s semifinal round of the North Island 'AA' basketball championships.

With strong defense and good focus, all players contributed solid minutes in the 92-45 victory over GISS. Off the bench, Thomas F. scored 7 points and added 5 rebounds.

In their fourth meeting this season, it was a hard-fought Championship Final against BCS. Showing great composure, Shawnigan quickly built a double-digit lead, and held onto it throughout the game. The final scoreboard of 64-52 included 9 points and 4 rebounds from Linus L., 7 points and 11 rebounds from Litha and a season high for Mostyn with 33 points and 6 rebounds.

As North Island Champions, the team moves onto the Island Championships at SMUS. Seeded N1, their first match up is against Pacific Christian School on Thursday at 4:00 pm.
