Students challenge DELF exams

Over the past week, approximately one hundred and fifty of our students have been challenging themselves and their French Language skills by taking a DELF exam. DELF stands for Diplôme D'Études En Langue Française. These are internationally-recognized language proficiency exams, and are valuable ways of validating a student's ability in French as well as being a useful addition to a resumé.

Shawnigan has students writing at the A1, A2 and B1 levels. Our most fluent students challenge the B2 level, which is required for entrance to a university in France. At each level, there are separate sections assessing strengths in reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Before the end of this year, our students will receive their results. In October, they will receive a certificate from the French Ministère De L'Éducation Nationale confirming their success.
