Headmaster David Robertson paid tribute to the outgoing Centennial Director, as Dr. Phil Jarvis worked his last day at Shawnigan Thursday.
With the School’s Centennial now wrapping up, Jarvis is retiring after a career that included 20 years over two separate stints at Shawnigan.
A Wales native, Jarvis has served in a variety of roles at the School, including English teacher, soccer coach, Copeman’s House Director, and Director of Guidance and Admissions.
Jarvis remembered a series of special moments in his final address to the students, including arts and musical performances at the School and engaging Centennial guest speakers.
“The School is very special to me,” he said wistfully, before walking outside with the Headmaster.
