Quick thinking and savvy teamwork spelled success for Shawnigan students competing at the Scholar's Cup.
Eight Shawnigan students ventured to Brentwood College School on Saturday for the Victoria round of the 2016 World Scholar's Cup.
Teams participated in four events: The Scholar's Challenge (a multiple choice exam), a collaborative writing challenge, team debate and the Scholar's Bowl (team trivia).
Shawnigan's senior team of Amica P., Cassia N. and Mary N. earned two gold and two silver medals apiece, while all three Shawnigan teams qualified for the Scholar's Cup Global Rounds, to be held in Bangkok, Thailand or Prague, Czech Republic.
