Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre

West Coast Science
Hot on the heels of Spring Break, the Biology 11, AP Biology 12 and Environmental Science 11 classes headed out for three days at the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre. Students were immersed in a flurry of activities including labs, field trips, hikes and boat trips. Many got to handle marine invertebrates for the first time, go whale watching, hike through the rainforest to learn about the local plants and carry out their own experiments in the labs. The weather cooperated for the first time in years and the sunny days served to further enhance this unique West Coast experience.
