'Cabaret' curtain approaches

The arrival of 2018 has sparked fresh excitement in the latest School musical.

In just two short weeks, Shawnigan returns to the McPherson Playhouse, Jan. 25-27, with a presentation of Cabaret.

Set in Berlin in 1931, the acclaimed show revolves around characters at the infamous 'Kit Kat Klub' as they confront personal conflicts and the ominous political climate of the time.

"Cabaret has always been a favourite musical of mine," says Director Morgan McLeod.  "It's an interesting, challenging piece that's still relatable and relevant."

Written by the famed duo, John Kander and Fred Ebb (who also collaborated on Chicago), Cabaret features memorable characters and crowd-pleasing musical numbers.

Tickets are available for all three performances on the RMTS website.
