Cowichan Music Festival 2018

Shawnigan singers and dancers perform
Shawnigan performers in the areas of vocal arts and dance have been competing at the 69th annual Cowichan Music Festival in Duncan recently. The Cowichan Music Festival is a long-standing annual celebration of amateur musical and performance talent from individuals residing in the Cowichan Valley Regional District and the Gulf Islands.

Daniela De A., Amelia M., Kalli K., Kylie K., and Maia C. all gave a great effort in the Musical Theatre section last week. The dance section of the Cowichan Music Festival starts this week, with Shawnigan dancers participating in the following categories: Tap (Barbara H-L., Kathleen H-L., Moyra M., Annika B., and Paige M.), Jazz (Alli M. and Caitlyn B.) and Contemporary (Alli M. and Caitlyn B.).
