Advanced Placement

Exam period begins
There’s an air of focus and concentration on campus this week as the two-week AP exam period begins.

Shawnigan has a total of 170 students sitting 337 AP exams across 19 different subjects, including English Language and Literature, French, European History, Physics and Psychology.

Advanced Placement (AP) is a North American program which offers enriched programming, university-level curricula and examinations to high-school students. Sitting AP exams while at high school can help students gain university admission and first-year course credit ahead of time, as well as helping prepare them for university course loads and equipping them with a high-level of knowledge in a given subject.
