Mock Trial Tournament

Presenting cases in the Duncan Law Courts

Model UN students headed to court on Saturday, as part of a mock trial tournament for local high schools.

A small group of ShawMUN students took it upon themselves to prepare for and ultimately compete in the event at the Duncan Law Courts, with the team getting one shot at being crown prosecutors in a criminal trial and one shot at presenting the defence.

Shawnigan Model UN teacher Paul Klassen shares his gratitude to Ms. Renae Stevenson who offered valuable pointers and to Brentwood's Neil Bryant who put this unique scholarly experience together.
