“MyShawnigan” - Consultation

We thrive on feedback at Shawnigan Lake School. Following our Founder’s Day in late October 2019, we received some very positive and encouraging feedback about the current health of the School and its direction:
Please find below two extracts from letters written, following Founder’s Day, to the School which we reproduce here with permission:

‘My Shawnigan experience was so magical, and I believe that the core values Shawnigan strives to teach all its students have helped me throughout my life’ [Kimberly Ross, Class of ‘91]

‘I saw that the School truly has become a co-educational school and I could not be happier. While the physical School bears little resemblance to the one I attended, the spirit of Shawnigan is still there. I hope that the students can feel the same inclusiveness and enduring friendships that I have had the good fortune of feeling’ [Paul Oxley, Class of ‘89]

In the spirit of listening and learning, we invite you to fill out this short survey as the School begins a strategic planning cycle.

You are welcome to fill in the “MyShawnigan” questionnaire on-line or submit by email to MyShawnigan@shawnigan.ca or by post to the General Office at the School.

Early in the new year, we will produce an “OurShawnigan” consultation report – alongside an analysis of feedback received from a separate Alumni Survey, commissioned by the School and the Alumni Engagement Committee members of the Board of Governors in the fall of 2019

The input that we receive through this process will inform our next steps on the path to a new strategic plan for the School. As part of our ongoing commitment to conversation, we know that your feedback will be invaluable and will help to articulate a strong sense of shared purpose for Shawnigan.
