Let it Snow!

Students revel in winter wonderland
Shawnigan Lake School has been transformed into a winter wonderland this week, with much of the Pacific Northwest experiencing heavy snowfall over the past few days.

Shouts of laughter have been overheard mingling with the sounds of shovels, toboggans, and snowball fights all across campus. Students, staff kids, and even a few staff members have reveled in the beauty and excitement of fresh snowfall. For some students, this is their first glimpse of snow. Even local students have been surprised with the abundance we have seen – much more than we would typically get on the mild west coast!

This experience has been intense but fleeting, as warmer temperatures have already begun to melt the snow. It has provided us with a wonderful change of pace and has brightened our days in more ways than one!
