Day 2: Landed in Auckland!

Hi guys!

Finishing our hockey season and coming straight to New Zealand is a big change. Adjusting to a new team and new coaches it’s all different but it’s worth it because this is going to be a great trip!

The flight wasn’t too bad, we all tried to sleep but it’s hard cooped up in that little seat. Once we got here we went through customs and got out onto the coach bus. The first thing we noticed was the ocean and how we can not wait to go swimming in it! Driving around Auckland was super cool just to see how similar yet how different it is from BC.

The museum we went to was super cool and the Maori cultural experience show was amazing, great to watch. Tonight we got to go on our own for dinner and we went to a great burger place. Just being able to walk around Auckland with your friends is such a great sense of freedom!

We are super excited to meet new people and live with our billets and get the full New Zealand experience! Getting to see the island and all the ins and outs will be one to remember!
