Spanish classes have explored all kinds of fun ways to approach the Zoom classroom from Zumba lessons to cooking classes. Recently, students followed along in Spanish in their own kitchens across the world, while Ms Bottomley gave out instructions (though she did repeat one instruction in English, just to be sure: “Do not touch your eyes after handling the jalapeño!”)
Students were making authentic Mexican guacamole, and though some ingredients varied because of availability, everyone made something and shared it with their families.
We acknowledge with respect the Coast Salish Peoples on whose traditional lands and waterways we live, learn and play. We are grateful for the opportunity to share in this beautiful region, and we aspire to healthy and respectful relationships with those who have lived on and cared for these lands for millennia.
