Jeans Day

Supporting the BC Children's Hospital

For the past 24 years, the BC Children’s Hospital has held an annual Jeans Day. Jeans Day is a simple, yet tremendously effective way to support the BC Children’s Hospital: People donate money to the hospital's foundation, and celebrate by sporting jeans for a day as well as wearing pins. Last year, the Hospital raised an astonishing 1.2 million dollars.

This year, Shawnigan students have raised $3,025. Out of all of the Houses, Copeman's raised the most, with a total of $495.

This year, all funds raised by Jeans Day are going towards the "Excellence in Child Health Fund," which is critical to the programs and services provided by BC Children’s Hospital, Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children, and the Child & Family Research Institute. Your contribution supports the areas of greatest need in each of these facilities, including specialized research into childhood diseases, the purchase of state-of-the-art medical equipment, and education programs for caregivers, patients and families.

Thanks to Jeans Day, the BC Children’s Hospital is able to nurture, support, and enrich the lives of children through their health care journey.

Thank you very much to everyone who took part in supporting this cause.
