Creative lab time in Chemistry 12
Shawnigan teachers continue to find imaginative ways to teach online, overcoming some of the constraints of remote instruction in their own unique ways. In an experiment in creativity as well as science, Chemistry 12 teachers Justin Wilke and Marcus Pienaar recently recorded a lab demonstration that practically investigated the properties of ammonia and its influence on a universal indicator. This pre-recorded and edited video invited students into the lab while allowing them to see the full experiment in a shorter segment more suited for an online class.
Mr. Wilke and Mr. Pienaar are currently working on the next video for their classes and hope to continue exercising their creativity as the term goes on!
